About Guinness Globetrotter

In March of 2005, I had my first Guinness in a pub in London. It was love at first sip.

Finding a Guinness in London was deceptively simple. Satiating my newfound hunger for a thick stout in Budapest was a bit of a challenge, and finding one in Athens ended up being a week-long adventure.

I had so much fun hunting down a Guinness in the countries I visited that I decided to make it my life’s goal to track one down in every single country in the world. As I go along, I’ll blog about my first Guinness in each location here.

Each post includes other details from my travels, in the hopes that it will be useful for any readers who visit those locations in the future.

A very special thank you to my good friend Toby for first introducing me to Guinness that fateful night in London.

Posting Schedule

I post a summary of my Guinness adventure in a new country a few times a year (usually back-to-back). I occasionally post a recipe or story that shows up on my radar. It’s very rare for this blog to see more than one post per week.
