Frequently Asked Questions & Contact Information

I’d love to hear from you, but before you get in touch, please take a second to read these Frequently Asked Questions.

Who are you? What’s this blog about?

Check the About page.

What inspired this idea?
My good friend Toby introduced me to Guinness when I was visiting him in London. I spent the following weekend alone in Hungary on St. Patrick’s Day and had quite an adventure. Then I tried Guinness in Brussels a few days later, and wrapped up the next week trekking all over Athens trying to find a Guinness (and lambchops). At this point I was hooked – finding a Guinness was exactly what I needed to kick off exploring a new country.

How many countries have you been to so far?

20 (in chronological order): England, Hungary, Belgium, Greece, United States, Japan, Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Canada, South Korea, China, North Korea [DPRK], Thailand, and Cambodia.

Which country was your favorite?

At this point it’s a tie between Hungary and Germany. I loved Hungary and have very fond memories of my first-ever St. Patrick’s Day Guinness in Budapest. However, I’ve since spent a lot of time (and had a LOT of Guinness) in Germany, and I always look forward to returning.

Which country was your least favorite?

The Netherlands. It was cold, smelled like marijuana (yuck!), and oozed sex and drugs. Not my scene.

Is Guinness sponsoring you?

No. I’m not associated with Guinness in any way (though if they came knocking I wouldn’t say no!).
