I love the idea of your blog. But hey, I don't belive you can seriously "cross Canada off your list" after such a brief visit to Toronto. The best Irish pubs in Canada are found in Montreal and the Maritime provinces, and the Guinness tastes much better there. I believe it's because the draft is fresher: being closer to Ireland, the shipping is faster. And with the Celtic roots of much of the population in the east, each keg turns over faster. Montreal is very different from Toronto, and Halifax is different again, and you really owe it to your quest to discover those differences. I mean, would you say that one visit to LA would be enough for someone to "cross the U.S.A off their list"?! I tell you this as a fellow Guinness lover and someone who has lived, worked and traveled across Canada. I'd be happy to supply you with a list of recommended Irish pubs in Montreal and Halifax any time you like. I think you of all people would appreciate them. Cheers!
